University of Montreal - Main Venue

Most of the symposium activities will take place at the Faculty of Music of Université de Montréal located on the side of mount Royal.

Vincent-d'Indy Music School

Some activities will take place at Vincent-d'Indy Music School, a few minutes walk from the Faculty of Music. A shuttle service will be available for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Maison symphonique de Montréal

The Tuesday July 25 concert will take place at Maison symphonique de Montréal, a concert hall with over 2,100 seats. Designed according to the highest acoustic standards in the world, its walls are covered with Quebec beech wood, a material known for its acoustic qualities and appreciated for its beauty. Since its inauguration in 2011, it has been the pride of Montrealers and has welcomed, in addition to the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain and Les Violons du Roy, many prestigious orchestras and soloists visiting Quebec.

Fernand Lindsay Amphitheatre

The July 28 concert with Sarah Willis, Stefan Dohr, Yun Zeng and Louis-Philippe Marsolais alongside the Orchestre Métropolitain and maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin will take place at this fabulous outdoor theatre an hour from Montreal.

Chalet du Mont-Royal

The chalet at Parc du Mont-Royal is located at the summit of the mountain. The large building, steeped in the French Beaux-Arts style, features a vast interior decorated with mural paintings that celebrate the history of Montréal under the French regime. The Banquet will be held there.
