
Lene Skomedal
Lene will offer daily yoga workshops as part of IHS555.
Lene Skomedal is a Paxman Artist and plays a Paxman m20.
She is from Norway, but has been living in Gothenburg, Sweden, since 2003. Lene has played professionally since 2005 and has worked with numerous orchestras and ensembles in many countries, such as co-principal in Norrlandsoperan, solo horn in Copenhagen Phil (contract), Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and many many more. Her career also includes work as playing as a soloist, in chamber music and taught or given masterclasses in a large number of projects, festivals and events, such as Citguad (Spain), Encuentro Internacional de Cornos (Chile), Corno Brass Music Festival (Poland) among others.

Through combining her music career with teaching her very own style of yoga - a concept named "Yoga for Musicians", she teaches various workshops for large or small groups as well as personal sessions, all over the world. She has teached at academies like Colburn School of Music (Los Angeles, US), Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London, UK), Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien (Hannover, Germany) and many more. Lene has given workshops and lectures for many professional ensembles and orchestras like, and she has personal clients that range from very young students to world star soloists, conductors and musicians in for example Berlin Phil, LA Phil, Concertgebouw Orchestra.
