Transportation and Parking
Free parking will be available for participants at the Faculty of Music during the symposium. Please note that parking spots are limited and we recommand other means of transportation.
The metro (subway) is a great way to move around the city. The Symposium is located next to the Édouard-Montpetit station on blue line. You can purchase a one-week unlimited pass at any metro station for CAD $ 29 (valid from Monday to Sunday.
Food
The meal pass menu cannot accomodate allergies or dietary restrictions.
We recommend to bring some groceries with you, we will have friges and microwaves on site.
There are no restaurants within walking distance.
July 28 Concert
Tickets included with the registration are in the lawn section. This section is not covered which means, in case of rain, we recommend you bring a rain poncho or rain coact. No umbrellas are accepted on site.
If you wish to upgrade to a seat under the roof, please contact us directly via the Contact section or at ihs55montreal@gmail.com. There is a fee for the upgrade.
Bus transportation will be provided, but transportation by car is recommended when possible. Participants who choose to drive there will receive a CAD $ 20 discount on their registration. You can reserve parking on site for CAD $ 10. We recommend booking in advance online at: Parking – Festival de Lanaudière.
Please note that there is no option for public transportation, since the site is outside of the city.
Weather
Montreal is really nice in summer. Temperatures generally range from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius during the day. However, the weather can change and there is a possibility of rain, thunderstorms and extreme heat. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before you leave so that you can plan ahead.
